University officials led by LI Fengwang, Deputy Party Secretary, recently visited alumni of the School of Business and their employers.

The delegation led by LI first visited Ningbo Hooya Group, where they met and had exchanges with CHEN Lin, a 2004 alumnus, who is currently General Manager for HR and Administrative Affairs. LI fully acknowledged the Group’s entrepreneurship featuring independent R&D, and also had in-depth discussions with CAI Jingquan, Executive Vice President of the Group, on how to effectively promote industry-university-research cooperation and to cultivate more graduates in line with the industrial demands.

They later visited the sub-branch of Guangfa Bank in High-Tech Area of Ningbo, where they held talks and exchanges with its Vice Governor JIANG Shiming and CHEN Yu, a 2001 alumnus, for a better understanding of what the business industry expects of graduates. LI said that the direct feedback from employers was an important benchmark for NingboTech to formulate its talent training plans, based on which the university would enhance the competence and competitiveness of students through curriculum design, skill polishing, internship and hand-on practice.

LI and the delegation also visited Guanzhi E-Commerce Pioneer Park Development Co., Ltd., where LIN Bofeng, founder of the company and a 2001 alumnus, recalled the precious experiences back in NingboTech. He said that alumni in Ningbo have been in close contact with one another and always concerned about the development of their alma mater. LI also extended invitation for alumni to visit the university often.
