Students from NingboTech have taken home several awards from 2020 Dameng Database Elite Challenge which was recently wrapped up. Among all those award-winning students, CUI Riyi from the School of Computer and Data Engineering won the first prize out of the fierce competition with over 5,000 contestants.

This competition, guided by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Computer Database Committee and organized by Wuhan Dameng Database Co., Ltd., is aimed at cultivating more innovative and application-oriented talents for the information innovation industry. Covering extensive professional knowledge in the field of domestic database, the competition attracted nearly 10,000 participants from more than 300 leading enterprises in the information innovation industry and over 200 renowned colleges and universities in China.

The School of Computer and Data Engineering is committed to exploring new modes of talent cultivation for the innovation information industry as the industry has been in its full swing as a foundation for data and cyber security. The School has set up the first joint lab of information innovation together with leading companies like Loongson, Sugon and DCITS, in a bid to cultivate talents for the industry through hand-on training.
