Cloud-Based Dialogue on Greek Culture Between China and Cyprus submitted by the School of International Studies and Researches on the Application of Life Health Smart Big Data Along the Belt and Road Route submitted by the School of Computer and Data Engineering were approved by the municipal government as two programs of international cooperation in education between Ningbo and countries along the Belt and Road route.

The program of Cloud-Based Dialogue on Greek Culture Between China and Cyprus submitted by the School of International Studies aims to set up a sharing and exchange platform for “Mediterranean Rim” countries by tapping resources of NingboTech, Zhejiang University as well as universities in Cyprus and Greece. The program of Researches on the Application of Life Health Smart Big Data Along the Belt and Road Route attempts to shed light on how infectious diseases spread across the world and to offer information services to tackle public health crises by conducting AI- and big-data-based researches on the application of life health big data during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two approved programs are vivid examples of how the university has been actively engaged in educational exchange and cooperation with Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries in recent years. Apart from signing cooperation agreements and MoUs with universities from CEE countries like Poland, Slovakia and Estonia, NingboTech has also set up high-level platforms for educational cooperation with CEE countries including Polish Studies Center registered in the Ministry of Education, Research Institute of Silk Road and International China-CEE Institute of Logistics and Service Science.
