Packaging Machinery Design, an online course created by the team led by Professor GAO De from the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, was recently certified by the Ministry of Education as the first-class course.

The course, with multimedia learning resources for each chapter and a focus on engineering analysis and problem solving, is aimed at improving students’ mechanical innovation capabilities by visualizing dull and complicated mechanical structures and combining online and offline learning experiences. Since its launch on the provincial platform for online open courses back in 2017 and later on the national one, the course has been viewed by over 20,000 students across China. It’s also been recognized as a quality learning material on multiple occasions for its well-designed contents and state-of-the-art teaching methodology.
