FENG Jianbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of NingboTech, WANG Xiaolu, Dean of the School of International Studies and Director of the Polish Studies Center, WANG Hao, Dean of the International China and Central/Eastern Europe Institute of Logistics and Service Science (China-CEE ILSS), HU Haipeng and MagdalenaGimbut, Deputy Directors of the Polish Studies Center, and Artur Rega, faculty member of the Polish Studies Center, attended a series of diplomatic and academic activities at the invitation of the Institute of International Relations, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS).

The NingboTech delegation attended the Opening Ceremony of Research Center for Visegrad Group (V4),SASS, and Seminar on China and Visegrad Group (V4) Cooperation Prospects, during which they expressed congratulations on the establishment of the research center. Professors WANG Xiaolu and WANG Hao briefed the attendees on the basic situation of the Polish Studies Center and China-CEE ILSS respectively. Visegrad Group (V4), established byPoland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia and named after a Hungarian city, is an organization for political and cultural cooperation. Founded on February 14, 1991, it’s now one of the most active regional organizations within EU.

During their subsequent visit to SASS headquarters, the delegates had in-depth discussions and exchange-of-view with staff members of the institute, one of 29 top think tanks in China. FENG expressed the hope that the two sides could carry out multi-faceted cooperation in areas like talent cultivation, scientific research and platform construction, and facilitate the development of high-end think tanks in the new era by fully leveraging each other’s edges. The two sides also reached preliminary agreement upon future cooperation.
