The NingboTech delegation led by President YANG Deren, Vice Presidents LU Dongming and YANG Canjun visited Zhejiang Provincial Seaport Investment & Operation Group Co. Ltd., viz. Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhejiang Seaport Group) in the hope of promoting the integration of industry and education as well as the construction of the “smart port” of Ningbo.

TAO Chengbo, General Manager of Zhejiang Seaport Group extended cordial welcome to the delegation on behalf of the group. After briefing the visitors on the integration of ports in southeastern China’s Zhejiang Province and the group’s cooperation with institutes of higher learning, he expressed his hope that the group and NingboTech could further deepen their mutual cooperation and communication in areas like smart port construction, personnel training, corporate culture research and industry-related research.

President YANG also gave an overview of the university and how it served the construction of Ningbo Port and stressed that the university, committed to serving local enterprises and industries, always stood ready to carry out comprehensive cooperation with the group in areas like port intelligence, port security and port service for win-win results.

ZHANG Jiancheng, Chairman of the group, expressed his admiration for the rapid development and achievements the university had realized in recent years. He pointed out that since the support of local colleges and universities was much needed for the group’s future development, cooperation and communication between the two sidesin areas like corporate culture and talent training was welcome.
