The NingboTech delegation led by LU Dongming, Vice President of the university, LUO Shijian and ZHAO Jianguo, Dean and Deputy Dean of the School of Design respectively, visited Ningbo Weizhen Display Technology Co., Ltd., a national hi-tech enterprise.

Accompanied by GU Kaiyu, Chairman of the company, the delegation experienced the company’s 3DLED holographic eye protection system, and was briefed on technical principles, advanced technologies applied and the market prospect of the 3DLED product line. The company was the only one in China which had mastered the core technology of 3D optical coatings. Its products and technologies were thought highly of by users in military, commercial and civil industries.

LU, after further learning the technological innovation, market scale and commercialization of relevant scientific research achievements of the company, put forward suggestions on the future development of the company and the in-depth cooperation between NingboTech and the company. He pointed out that corporate development and the university-business cooperation should be aimed at serving the city development, improving the added value of products and enhancing the production capacity in line with the strategic needs of national economic development. He also strengthened the importance for the School of Design to give full play to its academic advantages so as to offer solutions to problems facing industries, and to deepen cooperation and exchange in basic research and decision making. The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen industry-university cooperation and talent cultivation.
