Presided over by HUANG Jin, Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering, the appointment ceremony for Dr. CHEN Wen as an adjunct professor and the signing ceremony for the business-university cooperation framework agreement were held in NingboTech. University officials including Vice President ZHANG Xianmin, WANG Gaohe, Director of the Office of Human Resources attended the events.

ZHANG delivered a welcoming address and presented the letter of appointment to Prof. CHEN, who later signed the cooperation framework agreement with WANG, thus officially initiating the collaboration between Ningbo Advance Automation Technology Co., Ltd. and NingboTech.

The ceremony was followed by an academic report entitled “Application of precision manufacturing technology in semiconductor equipment”, in which Prof. CHEN elaborated on the precision manufacturing technology and its application in semiconductor equipment. The company’s technical advantages and specific application fields were also demonstrated, followed by an in-depth exchange of views among participants about the precision manufacturing technology and semiconductor equipment.

Introduction: CHEN Wen, doctor of engineering, specializes in, among others, R & D and production of IC packaging equipment, mechanical vibration control, mechanical structure design optimization, machine reliability research, linear motor design and mechanical design of visual systems. Selected into China’s 1,000 Talents Plan in 2009 and served as chief expert of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation between 2010 and 2014, he is now the chairman of Ningbo Advance Automation Technology Co., Ltd. He is an established scholar in his research fields and has obtained many patents both at home and abroad.
