The delegation from the British Council visited NingboTech on March 23rd. Led by HU Xuebin, Director for Educational Cooperation and Development, delegates were warmly received by university officials including LIN Chengliang, Vice Dean of the School of Business, HU Haipeng, Deputy Director of the Polish Studies Center, WANG Hao, head of the International China and Central/Eastern Europe Institute of Logistics and Service Science (China-CEE ILSS) and ZHANG Bailing, professor of the School of Computing and Data Engineering.
CHEN Ying and JIANG Pengtao from the International Affairs Office briefed the guests on the history, discipline and teaching staff construction, scientific research and educational internationalization of the university, which was followed by overviews of colleges and universities in the UK including the University of Strathclyde, Swansea University, Keele University, the University of Northumbria, the University of Central Lancashire and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David given by their representatives. Both sides explored possibilities of future cooperation through spirited discussions.
The visitors were also shown around labs of the School of Information Science and Engineering and the School of Computing and Data Engineering.
This visit, made just after the conference of 2021 UK-China Education Mission (Ningbo), helped create more channels for all-dimensional, wide-ranging and multi-layered opening-up of education in the future.
