Ningbo Production-Education-Research Base for Woodball was initiated during the launching ceremony held in NingboTech on March 25th. Officials including FENG Jianbo, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the university, XU Jian, Deputy Head of Ningbo Sports Bureau, and JIANG Changrong, President of Ningbo Woodball Association, attended the event.
FENG, addressing the ceremony on behalf of NingboTech, described the base as full recognition for the university’s efforts in developing woodball and a great encouragement for the university to continue this undertaking. The university will strive to optimize the industrial structure, unleash academic potential of this sport,carry forward woodball culture and further reform the woodball teaching and competition through close collaboration with Ningbo Woodball Association.
XU motivated woodball players to be fully prepared for the upcoming 4th Sports Meeting of Zhejiang Province under the guidance of their coaches. He also strengthened the importance of rigorous selection standards and coordination between coaches and athletes. Athletes for the provincial sports meeting are expected to, while bringing out the best in themselves, respect referees and competitors.
