Two NingboTech students won the top prize in the 2021 National English Competition for College Students Final (Zhejiang Province), the highest place ever recorded by a NingboTech student. Meanwhile, four students won the first prize.

The six contestants, standing head and shoulders above over 800 competitors in the preliminaries, acquitted themselves brilliantly with perfect composure when facing 255 finalists from colleges and universities in the province. Their impressive achievements, which has showcased a high level of English competence of NingboTech students, couldn’t have been made without patient guidance from teachers of the School of International Studies.

The stellar performance of the six students bears testimony to the efforts made by the School of International Studies to reform the English curriculum and improve the English teaching level. The School will further explore ways to improve students’ English proficiency so as to contribute to the university’s development.
