Associate Professor WANG Yigang of the School of Information Science and Engineering delivered a keynote speech entitled "Vision-guided welding robotics and its application" at the matchmaking conference for industry-education integration in industry and information technology sectors held at Ningbo Innovation Harbor on November 26th. WANG gave a detailed introduction to the results the university has achieved of machine vision research and demonstrated the application of relevant technologies in automated welding guidance by citing abundant examples. His vivid presentation attracted attendees' attention, with some companies present expressing preliminary cooperation intention.

The first matchmaking conference for industry-education integration in industry and information technology sectors in Ningbo, sponsored by Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau, is a grand gathering aimed at creating a new demand-oriented industry-education integration mode. The event is expected to facilitate the talent training and transformation of scientific and technological innovation as Ningbo is seeking high-quality development of its industry and digital economy. Six experts from colleges and universities including NingboTech University and Ningbo Institute of Northwestern Polytechnical University delivered keynote speeches during the event attended by nearly 100 guests from nine colleges and universities and over 60 local companies.
