To help NingboTech better engage in international cooperation and exchanges and to explore how to facilitate "Internationalization at Home" in collaboration with colleges and universities in Central and Eastern Europe, Vice President ZHANG Xianmin and Ms. Eszter Lukacs, vice president of Széchenyi István University, Hungary, had an in-depth exchange of views on issues like scientific research projects based on international cooperation, professionals training and services to local industries via video link on March 23. The virtual meeting, with the backing of the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, was presided over by Consul General Szilard Bolla.
The two sides gave an brief introduction to the two universities, faculty teams, scientific research strength and international cooperation, and explored possibilities of starting teacher and student exchange programs and carrying out cooperation on logistics engineering. The Consul General stressed that the Chinese and the Hungarian governments, having long maintained sound relations, value and support the scientific research cooperation and teacher and student exchanges between colleges and universities of the two countries. It's hoped that this virtual conference could help both sides come to an understanding about cooperation. Another meeting is scheduled for the discussion about the detailed cooperation plan.
