Exchange with Zhejiang Pharmaceutical University

CHEN Juexiang, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical University, President LOU Xiao'e and other university officials visited NingboTech on April 20 for an exchange of experience in building and developing undergraduate-level universities. HU Zhengyu, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of NingboTech, attended the meeting.

HU Zhengyu briefed the visitors on the university's history, discipline development, student training, vision, etc., and focused on the two discipline groups of "Digital Design and Manufacturing" and "Smart Port and Service". He noted that NingboTech, inheriting Zhejiang University's motto of "Seeking Truth and Pursuing Innovation" and enjoying the support of the municipal government, has contributed its bit to the city's economic and social development. Ever since it was upgraded into a public undergraduate-level university back in 2020, it has been striving to achieve better and faster growth by following the philosophy of taking root in Ningbo with the support of Zhejiang University and having global vision. He hoped that the two institutions of higher learning could better facilitate the city development through enhanced exchange and cooperation.

CHEN Juexiang spoke highly of the achievements made by NingboTech since its founding and gave a brief introduction to Zhejiang Pharmaceutical University. He mentioned that as sister universities, the two could enhance exchanges and learn from each other in terms of the operation mode, team building, teaching, discipline development, admission, career guidance, etc., so as to train more application-oriented students who could contribute to Ningbo's social and economic development.

XU Junwei, SHEN Zhonghua, SHEN Lixin and ZHANG Jiajia of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical University, and LI Fengwang, ZHANG Xianmin, HUANG Guangjie and ZHOU Shuhong of NingboTech were also present at the meeting. The visitors were then shown around the university's history gallery.
