The university-wide training in research management service officially kicked off at the School of Mechatronics and Energy Engineering on April 7. Vice President YANG Canjun, TONG Weixing, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the School, YU Zaihe, deputy head of the Research Office, WANG Jing, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the School, GAO Neng, person in charge of the research affairs of the School, and teacher representatives attended the event.

YANG Canjun noted that one of the measures to build a more competitive NingboTech during its 14th Five-Year Plan period is to improve and reform the university's management system and mechanism, and that one of the guarantees for the university to enjoy quality and efficient development is to fully motivate schools and delegate to them more decision-making power. He stressed that efforts must be made to ensure that research management service is readily accessible to all the faculty and students and standardized and integrated service procedures be set up, so as to better serve the faculty and students.

YU Zaihe instructed the attendees in the writing of contracts relating to scientific research and helped them out with queries.

The half-a-month-long series of training sessions will cover 11 schools and help the faculty better deal with the contract writing. Such training is expected to accelerate tangible progress in scientific research.
