Thanks to the concerted efforts made by all the faculty, staff and students, NingboTech has been recognized as one of the first batch of green campuses in Zhejiang Province according to the results recently unveiled by Zhejiang Provincial Government Offices Administration and the Education Department of Zhejiang Province.

Green development, part of China's five-point development philosophy, aims to solve the problems detrimental to the harmony between man and nature in a people-centered and environmentally-friendly manner.

To create a green campus is an important step taken by the university to fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and the guiding principles of the 19th Party Congress and to actively promote ecological advancement.

The university, attaching great importance to the building of a green campus, has formed a sound set of evaluating indicators, formulated the implementation plan, and taken pragmatic, science-based and effective measures centering on green awareness, green management, energy and water conservation, avoidance of resource waste, garbage sorting, and low-carbon campus, with the final results well recognized by the panel of experts.

The university would play a leading role in following the green development philosophy and increasing the public awareness of environmental protection.
