The research team led by WANG Weiyan, research fellow with the School of Materials Science and Engineering, attended the 19th China SoG Silicon and PV Power Conference (CSPV) held in Xi'an, northwestern China's Shaanxi province between November 2 and 4. As the most prestigious academic meeting in the field of silicon materials and PV power generation in China, the annual event is aimed at promoting sustainable development of SoG silicon and PV industry.

During the conference, WANG gave a brief introduction to her team and current research on metallization technology for crystalline silicon solar cells with a special focus on the prospect of copper electroplating technology. Li Zerong, a student with the team, reported on the team's research progress in insulated and semi-transparent solar cells.

Thanks to the academic gathering, the university's PV research team has got a deeper understanding of the development trend of and challenges facing the industry, and strengthened communication with experts, which helps lay a solid foundation for future cooperation.
