Prof. FANG Zhengping, dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, was admitted as a fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (FIAAM) during the 55th Advanced Materials Congress, which was convened by the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) in Stockholm, Sweden. He also delivered a keynote speech entitled "Synchronous flame retarding and smoke suppression for epoxy resin" via video link.

IAAM, founded in 2010, is a non-governmental international academic organization with 125 member states. It organizes various international academic conferences on a regular basis, including the World Advanced Materials Congress, European Advanced Materials Congress, American Advanced Materials Congress, and Asian Advanced Materials Congress.

The honorary title is granted by IAAM to researchers and scientists who have made significant contributions to materials science.
