1. Introduction
NingboTech University (NingboTech) is a full-time public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, administered by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, organized by the People’s Government of Ningbo, and supported by Zhejiang University. NingboTech is ranked 256th nationwide in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). There are nine colleges, namely Business School, School of Media and Law, School of International Studies, School of Design, School of Mechatronics and Energy Engineering, School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Computing and Data Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and School of Biological and Chemical Engineering, with a total of 40 undergraduate programs and more than 11,000 full-time undergraduate students.

3. Application Eligibility
1. Basic Requirements
(1) Between 18-24 years old (born between September 1, 2000, and August 31, 2006).
(2) Physically and mentally healthy (free of infectious diseases and physical or mental illnesses that affect normal study), friendly to China, with no criminal record, holding a valid ordinary passport of a foreign country and not a Chinese citizen.
(3) Graduated from high school (those who have not graduated at the time of application must provide proof of pre-graduation and must obtain a high school diploma by the time of admission at the latest.)
(4) Comply
with the provisions of the Ministry of Education’s Education and Foreign Affairs Letter [2020] No. 12.
2. Language Requirements
(1) Applicants whose native language is English are exempt from providing English language certification.
(2) Applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency through TOEFL (80 points or above), IELTS (6.0 or above), or other equivalent level English proficiency certificates.
(3) Applicants whose native language is not English but have received their highest education in English need not provide IELTS/TOEFL certificates but must submit proof of the language of instruction.
(4) Applicants who have passed the Chinese Proficiency Test Level III (HSK 3) will be given priority for admission.
4. How to Apply
Log in to the online application system at http://nbt.istudyedu.com/ to submit applications. There is no need to mail any paper application materials. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of 200 RMB. Applications will not be considered valid without the payment of the application fee. Once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Deadline: May 30, 2024.
Applicants must submit all required application materials before the deadline.
5. Applicants need to submit:
(1) Copy of the personal information page of your passport (personal ordinary passport, valid until at least October 31, 2025)
(2)
Copy of the high school diploma or pre-graduation certificate (Pregraduation certificate must be stamped with the official seal of the school, indicating the expected graduation time. The graduation certificate must be obtained before enrolment in September 2024).
(3) Original transcripts of all courses taken at the high school level.
(4)
Proof of language proficiency (the certificate must be valid at the time of application and usually has a validity period of two years. If providing a teaching language certificate, it should be accompanied by a letter from the school signed by an authorized person and stamped with the official seal).

Statement of Financial Support for International Students and supporting documents:
- Statement of Financial Support for International Students (see attachment)
- A deposit certificate covering reasonable expenses such as study, living, and international travel during your period of study in China. The deposit
should not be less than RMB 50,000.
- Scanned copy of passport or identity certificate belonging to the sponsor (limited to applicant themselves or immediate family members).

Applicants who meet the following conditions shall submit supporting documents, including but not limited to:
8.1 Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan residents who have immigrated and acquired foreign citizenship are required to provide
(a) Certificate of cancellation of Chinese nationality;
(b) Certificate of cancellation of Chinese household registration;
(c) Proof of foreign citizenship
8.2 An applicant who acquired a foreign nationality at birth and whose parents are both Chinese citizens shall provide:
(a) proof that the applicant acquired a foreign nationality at birth;
(b) the permanent residence certificate, passport or identity card of the applicant's parent (a Chinese citizen) in a foreign country before birth;

6. Application Instructions
(1) All materials uploaded must be in Chinese or English. For documents in other languages, the original document and a notarized translation in English or Chinese must be uploaded at the same time. Please use a scanner to scan the relevant documents in color and then upload them. Documents taken by mobile phone or camera, photo copies are not accepted. Except for the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and personal signature which may be handwritten, the remaining documents provided will not be accepted in handwriting.
(2) NingboTech has the right to require some applicants to provide originals/notarized copies of application materials or certification documents issued by designated certification organizations for further inspection. Students are required to bring all the original application materials for verification. Those who fail to submit the relevant materials will be disqualified from admission.
(3) The applicant shall ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the application information and supporting materials. If the admission office or certification department verifies that the application is untrue, the applicant will be disqualified for application, admission or study.
(4) Whether the applicant has the nationality of the People's Republic of China while holding foreign nationality shall be subject to the nationality determination conclusion of the Exit and Entry Administration Department in China. If the applicant is found to have Chinese nationality after admission, the applicant will be
disqualified from applying, admission or study.
7. Selection and admission results
(1) NingboTech will conduct online interview and written examination. The time and form of the examination will be notified separately. Admissions will be made on the basis of final scores, and admitted students will receive Conditional Offer by NingboTech.
(2) Admitted students shall pay RMB 3,000 deposit to the school account within one week after receiving the Conditional Offer. Failure to do so within the period will be considered a forfeiture of admission qualification. The full amount of the deposit will be refunded after the student has officially registered.
(3) After receiving the deposit, the school will issue the electronic version of Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 form) to the students.
(4) International students can log in to the online application system to check the admission results.
8. Registration
(1) Admitted students must report and register at NingboTech strictly according to the time specified in the Offer. Upon registration, original documents such as the diploma, transcripts, and proof of language proficiency will be verified. Those who have not obtained the corresponding certificates will be disqualified from enrollment.
(2) At the time of registration, students must pay the full tuition and accommodation fees; students who have not made the payment will not be processed for registration by NingboTech.
9. Fees
(1) Tuition: RMB 16,800/Year
(2)
Accommodation: RMB 3,200/Year (Double Room), RMB 6,400/Year (Single Room).
Note: International students shall be accommodated in the school dormitories and are not allowed to stay off-campus. If the preferred room type is unavailable, students must comply with the school's arrangements.
Note: Tuition and accommodation fees must be paid in full to the school account upon registration. Payments should be made in RMB. If there are special reasons, payments can be made in USD before registration (see the school's bank account information for details), settled according to the exchange rate of USD to RMB on the day of remittance. Any shortfall in the converted RMB amount must be paid after enrollment, and any excess will be refunded to the student.

Medical insurance fee: RMB 800/Year. Students are required to purchase medical insurance on their own through Student Insurance website (http://www.lxbx.net) upon registration. The school will not process the registration for students who fail to purchase medical insurance as required.
(4)
Physical examination: RMB 500/Year. After official enrollment, students must undergo a physical examination and pay the fees at designated institutions to obtain a residence permit. The school will not process the registration for those who have not undergone the physical examination or failed it.
(5)
Residence permit: RMB 800/Year. After official enrollment, students must convert their X1 visa to a residence permit within 30 days. The school will not process the registration for those who fail to obtain a residence permit on time.

10. Scholarships and Stipend

11. VISA
The admitted students shall present the Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 form) to the Chinese Embassy (Consulate) in their home country to apply for the X1 visa.
