To strengthen exchanges and cooperation with leading enterprises and serve local industrial development, LUO Shijian, dean of the School of Design, WU Chun, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the School, WANG Zuyao and JIANG Yiwei, deputy directors of the Institute of Industrial Design, CAO Ying, director of the Office of Party and Political Affairs, and HU Yichuan, teacher of the International School of Design of Zhejiang University, Ningbo, visited Haitian Group on March 24, where they were accorded a cordial reception by ZHAO Yan and WANG Tao, heads of Brand Planning Department, CHEN Yang, engineer of Technical Department, and Recruitment Manager ZHANG Chengfei.
The visitors were shown around the company's digital experience center, where they learned about the company's history, industrial foundation, industrial application, and digital and intelligent transformation. They then got to know more about its products in the showroom.
During the subsequent meeting, LUO Shijian gave a brief introduction to the School of Design and the International School of Design of Zhejiang University, Ningbo, and elaborated on the School's research foundation in serving national strategies and facilitating industrial upgrading, as well as achievements in mechanical equipment, health sports equipment, industrial equipment, intelligent technology, stationery, garden tools, garden landscape and customer experience management. He noted that the School would provide technological and intellectual support for enterprises in light of industrial needs by fully leveraging its advantages.
ZHAO Yan briefed the visitors on Haitian's five major industries and products and mentioned that the company is seeking cooperation with professional teams as it's been increasingly demanding aesthetically and in terms of industrial design during the production of industrial products. She hoped that by strengthening business-university cooperation and leveraging NingboTech's professional advantages, the company could think out of the box and create more products with better design.
The two sides then had an in-depth discussion about how to incorporate company projects into the university curricula, student internship and employment, joint application for major projects and joint construction of the industrial design and research center, among others.
