Accompanied by ZHENG Yu of the Development and Planning Office and Secretary DENG Danping, Prof. YANG Yong, chief scientist of the university's discipline group of Digital Design and Manufacturing, visited the School of Information Science and Engineering on March 29.

He met with ZHENG Yi, deputy dean of the School and deputy secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the School, Deputy Dean QIU Jun, and teacher representatives. QIU reported on the School's basic situation, scientific research teams and research results.

Prof. YANG had an in-depth exchange of views with the attendees on the discipline group development, teamwork, resource integration and soliciting of equipment needed for the establishment of a discipline sharing platform. Noting that the university aims to facilitate scientific research and teaching by fostering the discipline group, YANG hoped that the School could think in big-picture terms and focus on the delicate and minute as it strives to make landmark achievements, nurture sound cooperative relations with companies and promote a multi-dimensional cooperation system by fully leveraging the existing teams and technologies.
