Vice President YANG Canjun and Prof. YANG Yong, chief scientist of the university's discipline group of Digital Design and Manufacturing, visited the School of Computing and Data Engineering for the discussion about the discipline group development on April 1.

Dean PANG Chaoyi reported on the School's basic situation, scientific research teams and research results. Other teachers present had an in-depth exchange of views with the university officials about their ongoing research projects.

Prof. YANG Yong noted that the teachers have accumulated rich experience and achieved great success in smart manufacturing, Internet of Things and digital agricultural factories, and called on faculty to delve deeper into digital empowerment.

In his concluding remarks, Vice President YANG Canjun thought highly of the teachers' remarkable achievements and their active interaction with industries in Ningbo. He proposed that teachers should think hard, synergize their work with the development of the discipline group of Digital Design and Manufacturing, and strive to overcome technical difficulties so as to facilitate automated and intelligent industrial development.
