Meeting to promote digital reform

To implement the decision to promote digital reform made by Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and to accelerate the digital transformation of the university, this year's first meeting to promote digital reform was held on March 25. Chaired by Vice President LU Dongming, the event was attended by university officials including Party Secretary HU Zhengyu, officials in charge of digital reform at different schools and staff of the Digital Reform Office.

In his remarks, HU put forward a three-point proposal to facilitate the relevant work. First, to be soberly aware that digital reform is an ambitious political decision that conforms to the trend of the times, meets practical needs and has a solid historical foundation. The significance of the task should be fully grasped while the goal of building the university into one that is among "first-class in the province and top 100 nationwide" and targets stipulated in the 14th Five-Year Plan be regarded as the benchmark. Second, to learn and implement the guiding principles embodied in povincial Party Secretary YUAN Jiajun's speeches, and make thorough plans for the application scenarios in light of the university's actual needs. Third, to further improve the working mechanism and system aimed at promoting digital reform and produce tangible results under the strong leadership of the university's digital reform working group.

CHEN Bin, head of the Office of the Presidents and Digital Reform Office, reported on the progress in the university's digital reform endeavor so far, and assigned seven key tasks for the year 2022. ZHAO Su, deputy head of the Library and Information Technology Center and Digital Reform Office, expounded on NingboTech's data governance policy.
